Our Chickens

We currently have several breeds of laying hens including Barred Plymouth Rocks, Rhode Island Reds, Dominant Coppers, Easter Eggers, Olive Eggers, Cream Legbar, and French Black Copper Marans. We have 21 laying hens currently, with another 29 that should be laying well by winter.

Dominant Coppers are a Black Copper Maran x Barred Rock cross. Marans typically lay darker brown eggs, and Barred Rocks are usually reliable producers of brown eggs. Easter eggers are hybrids with Ameracauna in the mix that usually lay eggs in shades of green, pink, and brown. Oliver eggers are a similar hybrid that lay darker green eggs. Cream legbar lay beautiful sky blue eggs.
