People have been asking about quarters since we started offering hogs for sale, as half and whole hogs are simply a lot for most people. While none of the local butchers seem to offer a quarter option, we've decided to try and do a work around for folks. Unfortunately with Kiperts having closed this year we're bouncing around trying to find a new feed source for the chickens. So far every place we've used is more than what we were paying at Kiperts, so we've had to increase our egg price. We're hoping long term to find a way to perhaps get better feed in loose bulk from a mill like we do with our pigs but we don't have a grain bin or way to store it right now.

We had 4 beautiful little doe kids born in the last 14 days from our purebred Nubian goats. We also have a litter of piglets that will be ready to go to new homes in mid to late April and we have some born 12/15/25 ready to go now.

The old girls are now laying about a dozen a day again. The new girls haven't started up yet, hopefully within the next month or so. I recommend calling ahead to see what we have and ask for a hold on stuff as demand will definitely outstrip the supply we have. I also don't recommend coming before 8am right now as I haven't been getting up early enough to get the barn opened early.

Scarlett had her litter on 12/15/25. We expect piglets to be ready to go to their new homes on or after 2/9/26, depending on when mom weans them and the boys are healed from castration. We always do 2 rounds of wormer, castrate the boars, and train them to hot wire fencing. Depending on their size they may be started on nipple training for water barrels at 8 weeks old. Milly's litter is due around 2/22-2/24, so there will be more babies available late April if February is too

I am going to try and get some fresh herbs out in the stand including Thyme, Sage, and Rosemary. We likely won't have any chicken eggs but we should have duck eggs, pork, and various squashes and pumpkins.
