New coops & runs for the hens, a run on eggs, incoming greenhouse & more!

This weekend we got the new coops and runs usable for the hens and moved them outside. Still some fit and finish to deal with later this spring when we get time. The hens are ecstatic and have already destroyed most of the grass in their area. Right now they're adjusting to the stress of the move so they're laying less than normal, and laying in crazy places. It's an Easter egg hunt every day lol and only 1 chicken is using the actual nesting boxes for now. With all that going on and somehow a sudden increase in new customers from somewhere we are selling out of eggs a lot now. We will be getting more chickens this year but it's like a 6 month or longer wait for them to start laying eggs plus laying eggs of a size you'd actually want.

We've got a 30'x60' high tunnel style green house getting installed next week. I'm looking forward to starting my peppers and tomatoes in there, albeit late. Eventually I hope to have basil and ginger growing in there as well as some citrus and more tender herbs like tarragon and savory that don't overwinter well here outside.

We're working on the refencing of our pasture now and hope to have that done at some point this spring. We're looking at getting pigs soon and I might have to fly out east soon to look at some more goats. I still need to start building my ground level beds up in that front garden. Hoping to have time to do that at some point before summer.
