Pork Quarter Packages Now Available For Order!

People have been asking about quarters since we started offering hogs for sale, as half and whole hogs are simply a lot for most people. While none of the local butchers seem to offer a quarter option, we've decided to try and do a work around for folks. You pre order and pay for your pork like you would a half or whole, but instead of sending in a cut sheet for each person, we send in one and we divide the pig up evenly amongst the buyers and you can then pick it up at the farm. This way everyone gets some ham, some shoulder roast etc. instead of one quarter section being a front or back portion of the pig. It means you get a more standardized selection with only a few customization options, but you get a fairly set amount of meat with the cut and wrap fees all wrapped into the price. Most people are only interested in a few standard cuts anyway. Per quarter we are estimating folks should get approximately: (subject to change based on butcher availability/offerings) ~5-8lbs sausage

~3.75-5lbs bacon

~5-6lbs ham

~3-5lbs shoulder blade steaks

~6-7lbs pork chops

~4lbs backfat

~2-4lbs picnic roast, possibly shoulder bacon (need to confirm with butcher)

~1-2lbs jowl bacon

~3-4lbs rack of spareribs, soup bones, or other oddments.
